Prof. Ηelen Chavela

Helen Chavelais certificate in English literature from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. Helen is an english teacher in the State School of Athens, Greece since 1993. She also works as an english teacher in Nea Ionia Junior High. Regarding additional trainings she has attend seminars of environmental issues.

Engr. Marcos Echeita Diez

Marcos Echeita has one master’s degree in Civil Engineer by the Polytechnic University of Madrid and a second one in Health, Safety & Environmental Management.   He holds a degree in rehabilitation and refurbishment for ancient buildings and he is a Project Management Professional PMP®. Marcos has over 20 years of professional experience within the construction of buildings and civil facilities in Spain. During this period, he has held several positions including, Project and Construction Manager in companies like: Red Eléctrica de España, Bovis Project Management, FCC and Soluziona. In 2019, he started working for Red Eléctrica de España in a New Electrical Control Center in Madrid.

Engr. Adrián Correro Ricard

Adrian Correro has a master’s degree in Science in Aeronautical Engineering by the Polytechnic University of Madrid, Spain, in 2015. In those six years he accomplish to graduate with honors in the specialization of Space Vehicles. He started his professional career in 2016 in INTA (Instituto Nacional de Técnica Aeroespacial) as a trainee on space thermal engineering. In that position he worked with technical documentation and normative applied to engineering projects. After that experience, in 2018, Adrian joined the Energy Area in INTA, where he works with hydrogen technology and fuel cells applied especially to aircrafts. He deals with standards regarding the safe design, installation and operation of fuel cells for transport. Continuing with his studies Adrian took a course with Ariema Energy in hydrogen and fuel cells. He can communicate in several languages: spanish (mother tongue), english (C1 level) and german (B2 level).

Dr. Thierry Talbert 

Thierry Talbert received a Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering from Sciences et Techniques du Languedoc University, Montpellier, France, in 2001. In 2002, he was working for Intelligent Electronics System for the development of a fan-less charger for Fenwick. In 2003, he was working for APEX-BP Solar division of British Petroleum for the development of autonomous inverter for African countries. In 2003, he joined the Laboratoire de Physique Appliquée et d’Automatique (LP2A), Perpignan Via Domitia University, Perpignan, France, as an Associate Professor. Then in 2011, LP2A laboratory joined the PROMES-CNRS laboratory. In 2017, the Supervision, Solar Energy, Electrical System team (SEnSE) are created, and he takes the lead. After working on electromagnetic behaviour and reliability of capacitors in power electronics, he is currently working in a research that covers the development of DC/DC converters for concentrated cell (CPV) under 1000 suns and energy management of micro-grids (Resource forecasting, V2G, distributed storage, modelling of a power plant …).

Dr. Georges Zissis

Georges Zissis has a PhD, n° 669, by the University of Toulouse 3. He also has a Master in the University of Toulouse 3 in Physics of ionized gases and Plasmas, in 1987. Georges has a Diploma in Physics, by the University of Crete, Greece, in 1986. Now a day he is a full professor at the University Toulouse 3 – Paul Sabatier and at Laboratory of Plasma and Conversion of Energy (LAPLACE). He also has the role of Vice Rector of Toulouse 3 University, in charge of the European and International Projects, from 2020 to 2024. He is president of the 63e section (Power Electronics, Electronics, Optoelectronics and Systems) of the French National Council of Universities and president of IEEE Industrial Application Society. Georges is a Professor Honoris Causa of Saint Petersburg University, Russian Federation in the Physics Department, since 2011. Regarding his publication activity he has six books and twenty-five chapters in books, three patents, one hundred fifty-one papers in a rank SRJ referenced journals and thirty six papers in national journals, ninety nine invited conferences internationals and national events and nineteen Tutorials, two hundred seventy nine communications in international conferences and 60 in National scientific events and advisor for 34 PhD, five of them are on-going.

Dr. Kristian Oluf Sylvester-Hvid

Kristian Sylvester has a PhD from the Faculty of Science, in Aarhus University, in 1998. In 1993, he got his Bachelor of Science from University of Copenhagen. Regarding his work, in 1998, Dr. Kristian worked at the Technical University of Denmark as a UNIX system administrator at Ørsted-DTU.  Later, he became a part time UNIX system administrator at the Danish Centre for Super Computing and organizer of the nanotechnology courses in the Department of Chemistry at the University of Copenhagen, from 2004-2005. In 2008, he became a research scientist at The Solar Energy Program,  at Risø National Laboratory for Sustainable Energy. Now a day he is working as a senior specialist at the Danish Technological Institute, focused on nano production and micro analysis. Kristian teaching experience falls into both organizing lab courses, lecturing, supervising and mentoring, and has been conducted in either Danish, English or German while working and/or studying. He also has more than thirty peer reviewed publications in scientific journals.

Dr. Emilio Muñoz Cerón ​

Emilo Muñoz is a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.). He also has a degree in Photovoltaic Solar Engineering by the University of Jaén. In 2008 he completed a Master’s in industrial engineering at University of Jaén. Emilio has a bachelor’s degree in Technical Industrial Engineer Specialized in Industrial Electronics at the University of Jaen. In 2014 he did a post-doctoral Research Fellow at the Center for Advanced Studies in Energy and Environment in the University of Jaén. Later he becomes an external professor for the Universidad Internacional de Andalucía as a professor in the Master of Photovoltaic Technology. Emilio also worked at development engineer at the National Entity of Energy Audits and Certifications, from 2015 to 2017. Now a day he works as a temporary Assistant Professor in the engineering projects division at the University of Jaen. He also works as an advisory senior expert of the World Alliance for Efficient Solutions in the Solar Impulse Foundation. And he is a technical engineering for PV self-consumption projects ​at Gerión Ingeniería Solar.

Engr. Montse Guerrero ​

Montse Guerrero is an agronomic engineer with a specialization in food industries and environmental management. She is currently working as an innovation and project consultant at the Navarre Industry Association (AIN), private non-profit association in Northern Spain. In a previous experience she worked as CSR external consultant for the Regional Government and as a European project manager at the Environmental Resource Centre of Navarra (CRANA.). In that job, she supports companies, mainly SMEs, on their improvement in environmental managing as well as on eco-innovation and corporate social responsibility enhancing. Montse is working on supporting companies on their transition to a new economy as a unique opportunity for business development while enabling natural and social capital regeneration. In 2019 she finished the Innovation, Enterprise and the Circular Economy DL MBA at the University of Bradford.

MSc. Pedro Casado ​

Pedro Casado got a degree in physics with a specialization in plasma physics from Córdoba University in 2002. In 2005, he started teaching physics and chemistry in a high school placed in Getafe. After pursuing two master diplomas in pedagogy and school organization, he becomes the principal of the high school for ten years. Now a day he is working as a civil servant for the public educational system at the IES San Isidro in Madrid. There, he oversees the STEM innovation project and the responsible of the technological section of the physics and chemistry department.

Engr. Susana Serodio

Susana Serodio is an Environmental Engineering and a master’s in Engineering and Technology Management at the Instituto Superior Técnico of the University of Lisbon. She has focused her professional activity in the area of energy and environment, having started as a researcher at IN + | Center for Innovation, Technology and Policy Research of the Instituto Superior Técnico. After having worked as a consultant in the area of environment, transport and energy and as an energy auditor in different companies, in 2015, she assumed the role of energy policy analyst in the Technical Department of APREN – Portuguese Energy Renewable Association. In this position she is currently responsible for coordinating the Department’s activities. Also her activity in that role encompasses advice and consultancy to members and stakeholders in the renewable energy sector, preparation of elements and technical studies to promote and support decision making, representation and defense of APREN’s strategic vision next to the official entities, national and international associations and stakeholders.

Dr. Francisca Segura

Francisca Segura is a professor at the University of Huelva in the area of Systems and Automation Engineering since 2003. Along these years, she has received three academic distinctions, published more than 25 papers, registered two patents and a utility model, and directed two doctoral theses and she has two other theses in development. Francisca is a member of the Control and Robotics Research Group (TEP-192), and has participated in more than 40 European, national, regional public and private projects related to education and research. The topic in which she carries out her research activity focus on hydrogen technology and renewable energy systems.

Dr Kyriakos Panopoulos

Kyriakos Panopoulos is Principal Researcher of CPERI/CERTH, Chemical engineer with more than 20 years expertise. He is a member of the Scientific Board of CPERI / CERTH (working there since 2007). He is coordinating the Energy Platform for Smart Specialization in the Greek General Secretariat of Research and Technology. He leads a research group on the fields of advanced renewable energy systems specialised in optimised design of energy solutions using fuel cells. He has participated in more than 15 research projects including EU funded integrated projects such as EuroBioRef and Brisk. He has supervised 4 PhDs, more than 20 MScs, as well as more than 50 student’s diploma works. His published work includes more than 50 research publications in international peer-reviewed journals, with an H index of 23, as well numerous chapters in handbooks, and many publications in international conferences.

Prof. Andreas Spanos

Andreas Spanos has a Bachelor’s Degree in Specialist Educational Technologist Mechanical Engineer of ASETEM – SELECT. He also pursue the Mechanical Engineer Specialty Teacher Training Program in ASETEM / SELETEE. Spanos successfully attended an annual Secondary Education Teacher Training Program entitled “Contemporary Developments in Electrical Energy Technology” at the National Technical University of Athens. Regarding his teaching experience, from 1994 to 1997 he teaches in the field of Engineering. Then from 1997 to 2020 he teaches at a state school Mechanical Engineer. Additionally he has experience in the industrial field, because he has worked for the company: BIC VIOLEX SA with Production Item: Shavers – Pen and Position: Machine Developer C.N.C, from 1994 to 1997.

Dr. María Jesus Ortega Jodar

María Jesus Ortega Jodar is an Industrial Engineer with a Ph.D in Photovoltaic Solar Energy from the University of Jaén, Spain since 2013. Her professional activity has always been related to the renewable energy sector and the environment. Her professional training began in 2008 within the Solar Energy research group at the University of Jaen, where she has participated in the development of several research projects, highlighting among them the Universol project, and the Singular and Strategic SigmaSoles project. She also has experience in the private sector, having worked at ATA Technical Advisor, as a consulting engineer specializing in supervision of photovoltaic plants, inverter manufacturing, as well as writing due diligences. María Jesus is currently teaching at Cristo Rey School in Jaén, where she teaches subjects related to industrial technology, with a strong focus on renewable energies. In 2018 she had the opportunity to develop a teaching innovation project in the school she is teaching, together with the University of Jaén, called “Top-Down Approach of a PBL Project Applied to the Integration of Renewable Energies in an Educational Building. Results of A Joint Experimental Collaboration between High-School and University Levels”, where through the implementation of new learning methodologies, she and her team evaluated the solar generation potential of the school.

M.Ed Rebecca Grandrath

Rebecca Grandrath studied food chemistry before completing a teacher training course in biology and chemistry. After her Master’s degree, she began her dissertation project in the didactics of chemistry with an experimental and conceptual orientation at the university of Tuebingen (2017) and Wuppertal (2018). Her dissertation project includes the development and improvement of experiments on fuel cells as well as evolving related materials and testing them with students of different age groups. The focus is on biological fuel cells, which have so far received little attention in schools and the media.

Prof. Juan Eduardo Rodríguez de Vicent

Juan Eduardo Rodríguez has a degree in Chemical Sciences from the University of Sevilla. Since 1993 he has been a High School teacher in the specialty of Mathematics, occupying since then different teaching positions in Huelva and Sevilla. During this time he has held different positions and functions teaching classes in the face-to-face, blended and bilingual English modalities covering all stages from high school to adult education. He held the position of Head of Studies for 9 years at the IES Néstor Almendros de Tomares (Sevilla). Since 2014 he has been a training advisor at the Sevilla Teachers Center, a center that has provided training for more than twelve thousand teachers who carry out their professional work in 355 educational centers in the area, currently being the coordinator of the scientific-technological field of said CEP. He has participated in various European projects both in school associations and in individual mobility.

Dr. Carlos Fernández

Carlos Fernández has a degree in Modern and Contemporary History from the University of Huelva. He did a PhD in Political Science and Sociology at UNED. In addition, he pursue a Master in Occupational Risk Prevention from the University of Huelva and a Master in Historical and Natural Heritage also from the University of Huelva. In his work experience, he has a long path as a Professor Official EEMM since 1996. He is currently an advisor in the social field at the Huelva Teacher Training Center. He has a B1 level of English certified by EOI.

Dr. José Cercós Soto

José Cercós is a Doctor of Philosophy. Since 1989 he has been a teacher of High School Education, specializing in Philosophy. José is also an inspector of Education in the Territorial Delegation of Huelva, since 2017. In a previous experience he was the director of the IES Diego de Guzmán y Quesada (Huelva), from 2000 to 2017.

Ing. Esperanza Montero

Esperanza is a Chemical Engineer and has a master’s degree in Renewable Energy, Fuel Cells and Hydrogen. She has 7 years of experience in the H2 sector, first as a Researcher at IMDEA Energy and later at Ariema Energía y Medioambiente as a Green Hydrogen Business Developer and Project Engineer. Currently, Esperanza is a Product Manager of Hydrogen & Energy Transition in Carburos Metálicos – Air Products Group, developing and leading marketing strategies for H2 for Southern Europe.
