The consortium of the European Ciro project held on March 7 and 8 its first transnational meeting in Madrid.

The partners of the European Ciro project met for the first time on March 7 and 8 at the offices of Ariema in Tres Cantos, Madrid, for the implementation of the project “CIRO” introducing the importance of the next “green” energy model into the school education.

There is something that unites this consortium and made the meeting a perfect starting point. It was the desire to promote professors and student’s formation within climate change competence, sustainability, renewable energies and energy storage systems such as hydrogen. All of this in order to make future generations aware and at the same time be prepared to face the energy challenges and mitigate climate change

In this first meeting the activities that each partner had to carry out, the execution time and the budget assignment for each activity, were defined.

To define the didactic units, the partners will carry out a first stage of research on the current educational models of the participating countries and will involve more than 100 people among teachers and students to get their opinion on the best methods of training

On one hand, Cyber ​​Coach Smart explained the initial idea of ​​the didactic game on renewable energy and hydrogen as a storage method. On the other hand, CRES and ARIEMA committed to elaborate the didactic units following the results of the research stage and develop a manual to provide instructions on how to teach these contents to students. The consortium of the Ciro Project its formed by schools, companies and technological centres of 4 different countries. Three schools in which two are Spanish schools: IES Diego de Guzmán (Huelva) and Colegio Jesús Nazareno (Madrid), and a German school called Städtisches Heriburg- Gymnasium. A British company specialized on digital didactic games Cyber Coach Smart also participates, and, two expert entities in renewable energy and energy storage Centre for Renewable Energy Sources and Saving (CRES) in Greece, and ARIEMA Energía y Medioambiente S.L. in Spain, the latter being the project coordinating partner.
